NASCAR fans were sent into a frenzy and many may want to go out and ‘paint the town red’ to complement the fresh layer of asphalt at Texas Motor Speedway after Jimmie Johnson’s spectacular run on Sunday. The 7x champion proved his mettle in the scorching heat by enduring a bout of painful dehydration to capture his seventh victory at the location. It seems Dale Jr. has regained his spark as the veteran driver blazed a trail of fire in the No.88, and he’s cool with his first top-five finish of the season. Ryan Blaney achieved another milestone, but his final pit stop robbed him of the chance of a possible victory, Kyle Larson maintains his lead in the point standings, and Team Penske continued to show consistency with a strong showing in Texas.
