While “rumored testing” and “sandbagging” dominated the week that was in NASCAR, fans are still mystified that Kevin Harvick said what he said about Dale Jr. Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski also decided to exchange a few unpleasant words confirming that you should always expect the unexpected when it comes to NASCAR. It was an eventful week to say the least that included Bubba Wallace Jr. scoring a win in the Truck Series along with the realization that veteran Cup drivers Matt Kenseth and Kasey Kahne are facing an uncertain future.
Below are links to our top Twitter questions this week and also a few responses. Every Monday, we will host a #NASCARTalk Twitter party at 12:00 PM PST / 3:00 PM EST. Join us for some NASCAR talk. Question 1: Will Bubba Wallace Jr. be in a Cup car next season? If so, will it be the No. 10 car or will he drive for another team?
Answers:
I think he could be in a Cup car. It depends on sponsorship. If Almirola goes to SHR, maybe Bubba gets the 43? #NASCAR
— Daily NASCAR Scoop (@NASCARDaily) August 14, 2017
Actually wouldn't be shocked if Aric goes to SHR. Rumor is that he and Smithfield are a package deal looking for an upgrade from RPM
— Anthony Ortiz (@realaortiz08) August 14, 2017
I hope so, just hope a sponsor and a team will take a chance on him. Unfortunately i don't think he will be in the 10 nxt year
— ryan goodrum (@ryan_goodrum) August 14, 2017
I think so he is already in the ford camp and I'm pretty sure he is cheaper than danica and kurt
— Tron Tomlin (@TronTomlin) August 14, 2017
I think that "not being happy" has been taken out of context and she would be more than happy to complete her contract and run next year.
— Larry Lee (@lblee58) August 14, 2017
I think that win on Saturday is going to make his case stronger to be in a Cup ride. However I'm not sure about him in the 10 next year.
— Kenneth Lee (@FrontRowKenny) August 14, 2017
Actually I'd hope he'd get one more year in xfinity to secure more experience before jumping into a cup car
— k (@knallen24) August 14, 2017
Not a Cup ride unless it's a small team. He needs to find and sponsors and be in a JRM ride full time.
— The Rooster (@Orange__White) August 14, 2017
Question 2: Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski are at it again. Who makes the most valid points? What are your thoughts on their drama?
Answers:
Two wrongs dont make a right
— Kevin Jackson (@K3vrolet71racin) August 14, 2017
Ford wins pole. Toyota dominates race. Chevrolet wins race. Seems like Brad made a moronic statement.
— Charlie Bowles (@CharlieBowles6) August 14, 2017
That Kyle Busch needs to grow up. That and stop picking his nose. No one wants to see that shit.
— avery duck (@specialkitty2me) August 14, 2017
Kyle Busch makes more since because he drives a Toyota and brad dude you should have never said that just because you drive a ford
— courtney holland (@misscourtney28) August 15, 2017
I think Brad does. I think it's a nonstory though. I think Larson vs Truex could turn into a rivalry
— SHRFan4Life30 (@ScottyStyles29) August 14, 2017
I'm not a fan of both drivers but I like the way they drive and I think it's good for the sport
— Tron Tomlin (@TronTomlin) August 14, 2017
Brad likes to hear himself talk, and Kyle is the human lightning rod. 2 people who don't like each other & that makes good TV
— ryan goodrum (@ryan_goodrum) August 14, 2017
Well it's politics right. Brad wants a more even playing field. It's in his interest. Kyle doesn't want that it's in his interest it's. Not
— Jonathan Thiebaud (@Jtbaud24) August 14, 2017
Here's the thing. When Toyota sucked early in the year, they went to work and found speed. Now that Ford's behind, Brad is whining to NASCAR
— Marc Wiley (@MW_RaceFan1877) August 14, 2017
I think each sport needs a good rivalry and Brad vs Kyle is perfect. 2 aggressive drivers going head to head on and off the track. #NASCAR
— Daily NASCAR Scoop (@NASCARDaily) August 14, 2017
Question 3: Is there any validity to Kevin Harvick’s thoughts on Dale Jr.? What’s your opinion on the situation?
Answers:
Harvick has a right to his opinion. I think people unfairly compare Junior to his father.
— Daily NASCAR Scoop (@NASCARDaily) August 14, 2017
Yes. But the blame is more on the fans and not on Jr
— The Rooster (@Orange__White) August 14, 2017
I don't think he has stunted the growth. I believe there are many factors to stagnant or negative growth: value, rules, gimmicks, etc
— Greg Clark (@gclarktweets2) August 14, 2017
Harvick creating controversy because controversy makes money. Was DEI a threatening organization, at HMS there was the 48, 24
— ryan goodrum (@ryan_goodrum) August 14, 2017
he makes a good point that usually the most popular athletes are more successful than he's been, but Jr has the weight of the world on him
— loose lugnut (@Loose_lug_nut) August 14, 2017
Question 4: Which veteran Cup driver will be without a team next year? Matt Kenseth, Kasey Kahne, or someone else? Why?
Answers:
I hate to say it but Matt Kenseth could join old teammate Greg Biffle on the sidelines. Sponsorship money means everything. #NASCAR
— Daily NASCAR Scoop (@NASCARDaily) August 14, 2017
Could be all of them and others that haven't been thought of right now due to the lack of sponsor money.
— Larry Lee (@lblee58) August 14, 2017
Kenseth might be the odd man out. Kasey Kahne has some help from Mr.Hendrick so I think he'll find him something.
— Kenneth Lee (@FrontRowKenny) August 14, 2017
I think Kenseth more likely to not have a ride based on the fact that his championship gives him a higher price tag
— loose lugnut (@Loose_lug_nut) August 14, 2017
Question 5: Michigan was all about “rumored testing” & “sandbagging.” Do you believe the hype? Is Toyota juicing? Who’s really sandbagging?
Answers:
I think it:s @Nascar/#WWE at it's finest.
— Larry Lee (@lblee58) August 14, 2017
How long did it take JGR to win a race? There is only 1 Toyota dominating this year and that is the 78
— ryan goodrum (@ryan_goodrum) August 14, 2017
Well, I'll agree with Brad, at the same time if NASCAR does take the cars I'm inclined to think they're all sandbagging.
— loose lugnut (@Loose_lug_nut) August 14, 2017
No one. Take the 78, and to a lesser extent the 18, out of the equation and everyone else is about equal.
— Renee (@rb218) August 14, 2017
Toyota has a better car. If you can't just accept that and move along then get out.
— Spencer (@gatorade_idiot) August 14, 2017
Question 6: Let’s talk championships. Who will win this year’s Cup Championship? Who you got? Leave a comment and vote.

Answers:
Time for new blood and Kyle Larson is on a hot streak and it's time for Chevy!
— Linda Matthews (@wvlyn_linda) August 14, 2017
Pulling for @KyleBusch but know it's going to be an uphill battle to beat @MartinTruex_Jr
— Larry Lee (@lblee58) August 14, 2017
I'm taking Truex Jr. Dude has had a hell of a year and he's a class act guy. I think he deserves it
— loose lugnut (@Loose_lug_nut) August 14, 2017
I want Larson to but I think it's Truex' s to lose this year. Positive us that Kyle seems to run better at Homestead
— Michael Jay Husmann (@MoparMJ8) August 15, 2017
Larson is a monster at homestead. Said it last year, I'll say it again… if Larson is in it at homestead, he's the one to beat.
— David (@stormynormy42) August 15, 2017
Martin Truex Jr. is overdue and will finally get his championship
— Daily NASCAR Scoop (@NASCARDaily) August 14, 2017
Glad to see Truex competitive and in a good, consistent machine. I have no one in particular to root for, so I'm going with him.
