The moment is upon us. We are down to the final race in the regular season before NASCAR Nation enters playoff mode and the most pressing question amidst the deafening chatter remains,” Who will take the final spots on the playoff roster?” A few favorites are teetering on the cut-off line and fans are caught between whom they would like to see in contention for the championship title and the current reality.
Subway flipped and terminated Daniel Suarez’s contract for handing out Dunkin Donuts during a pre-race segment. Many believe that Subway grabbed the opportunity and did what they wanted to do all along (maybe to make way for sponsorship of a certain driver next season?). Fans were not happy about the way Daniel was treated and they did not mince words in expressing how they felt about Subway’s move.

Question 1: Ain’t nothing wrong with a little bump and run or is it? Was Austin Cindric wrong for what he did during the truck race?

To me, there’s a difference between loosening someone up, ie throttle/brake work & just hammering him outta the way. Where’s the skill?
— GraydonBunn (@SmoothOper88or) September 4, 2017
I’m sure everyone barking over the finish would do the exact same thing if they needed a win to make the Playoffs. #NASCAR
— Daily NASCAR Scoop (@NASCARDaily) September 4, 2017
I’m a BKR fan and I wanted Cindric to win, but I thought the way he did it was crappy. I’m ok with moving ppl, but he flat out dumped him
— loose lugnut (@Loose_lug_nut) September 4, 2017
If what he did was wrong I want ever Earnhardt fan to denounce him for the career he made this way
— Ray Roberson (@sgt_stingray) September 4, 2017
Bump and run is one thing. Flat dump and run is another. But NASCAR let’s it go so I guess it’s just racing. #NASCAR #NCWTS

I don’t know people lost there mind when Kenseth blocked Logano at Kansas and got turned then cheered when we wrecked Logano at Martinsville
— Mick Rose 🇺🇸 (@GoDucks42_mick) September 5, 2017
Rubbing is racing. Wrecking is NOT racing. https://t.co/2LjaBYZ2g6

Question 2: There is only one more race left in the regular season. Which driver is going to win to get in the playoffs?

The one and only @joeylogano of course pic.twitter.com/TpotkWo8mu

Jones is the man on form, but I fancy Suarez to have a good run and Logano always has a chance at Richmond!
— Jason Rodgers (@JRodgersSport) September 4, 2017
I think it’ll be a repeat winner. And standings will remain as they are.
— GraydonBunn (@SmoothOper88or) September 4, 2017
I actually think Erik Jones could win based on recent performance. I think Bowyer, Logano, and Earnhardt Jr are out. #NASCAR
— Daily NASCAR Scoop (@NASCARDaily) September 4, 2017
No one, it’s not going to change

Question 3: SUBWAY terminated their sponsorship with Daniel Suarez over a segment he did with @DunkinDonuts. Right? Wrong?

Feel bad for @Daniel_SuarezG , looking at twitter today it looks like a bad PR move by subway.
— ryan goodrum (@ryan_goodrum) September 4, 2017
Very unfortunate. I saw it happening eventually. Subway loved Carl Edwards. They were likely caught off guard with Suarez. #NASCAR
— Daily NASCAR Scoop (@NASCARDaily) September 4, 2017
Wrong as hell. @SUBWAY was looking for a way out. @jimmyjohns beats them by a mile anyway.
— Just Dave (@DaveLoomis1) September 4, 2017
A way for them to get out of spending money on a dying sport!!
— Barry Wilson (@BarryWi60803926) September 4, 2017
I think subway was reaching to get out of it. I think Carl Edwards emerges in 2018 with a subway car

Q4: Who’s more likely to be in a Cup car next season? Kenseth, Edwards, Patrick, Kahne or Biffle? Why?

Kahne. He’s still very marketable, showed at Indy he can still win when he gets the chance, so I think a team will take him on.
— Jason Rodgers (@JRodgersSport) September 4, 2017
TBH I’m split btween Matt & KK. I answered Matt due to past Championship, but Mr. H said he’d work to get Kasey in a ride. Change my answer?
— GraydonBunn (@SmoothOper88or) September 4, 2017
I actually think Kahne since it seems like he’ll have Hendrick’s support. Biffle and Kenseth may come down to money. Edwards is a mystery.
— Daily NASCAR Scoop (@NASCARDaily) September 4, 2017
As much as I want to say Greg Biffle. I have to say Matt Kenseth. He has been in the top ten in the past six or so races.
— Kayla Kaye 🏁 (@bookk14g) September 4, 2017
Edwards and Biffle retired. Kahne and Patrick have no talent. Process of elimination leaves Kenseth.
— #TheRobster (@TheRobster2014) September 4, 2017
I think kahne is closer to actually having something lined up though. Kenseth/Edwards probably most deserving, kahne most realistic.

Championship caliber driver, one of most consistent ever behind maybe @markmartin mark, no matter what his equipment

Makes no difference to me. Playoff seeding is your regular season reward.
— GraydonBunn (@SmoothOper88or) September 4, 2017
The whole format is dumb
— Ray Roberson (@sgt_stingray) September 4, 2017
It matters as far as having more playoff points all of which go away at Homestead.

Like baseball has national league and American leave championship pennants?

Question 6: Did NASCAR drop the ball by not penalizing Denny Hamlin for that pit line violation?
Q6: LAST Question. Did NASCAR drop the ball by not penalizing Denny Hamlin for that pit line violation? (via @sgt_stingray) #NASCARTalk
— All Turns No Brakes (@turnsnobrakes) September 4, 2017
Answers:
Yes they did that was total BS he did it he was committed to go to pit road and NASCAR blew that entire call
— Benjamin Paulson (@BenjaminPaulso8) September 5, 2017
No,he didn’t do anything wrong.
— Kenny Ray Phillips (@Bowtie_67) September 5, 2017
I thought drivers only get penalized if they go on to pit road. He drove back around the track.
— 7 Time Champ 🔵 (@NotJimmieJ) September 4, 2017
No, it’s a penalty if you aren’t under 9the cone/box and pit. He didn’t pit
— Michael Jay Husmann (@MoparMJ8) September 5, 2017
That’s not what the rule says. It says if you have all 4 tires on the line you are committed to pit
— Ray Roberson (@sgt_stingray) September 5, 2017
If it’s black & white call like the pit road cameras see a pit stop, would the lines be green or red?
— GraydonBunn (@SmoothOper88or) September 4, 2017
