NASCAR Nation has a cup full of discontent after a lackluster and anticlimactic finish to the much “hyped-up” Monster Energy All-Star race on Saturday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Kyle Busch took advantage of a strategy error and ran away with the All-Star win, but still seeks a points-paying Cup win at Charlotte. Can he carry the victory momentum into the upcoming race?
Clint Bowyer, Ryan Blaney, Daniel Suarez and Chase Elliott may have raced their way out of the Open into the All-Star field, but it was Kyle Larson who “used Johnson up a little bit” to take the second-place finish. Dale Earnhardt laments “ridiculous” performance in his final All-Star Race, but endorses Alex Bowman as his replacement. Dale Jr. also gave last rites to Danica Patrick’s ‘Wonder Woman’ car.
