Question: “With a top 10 finish at ISM Raceway Jimmie Johnson seems to be headed in the right direction. Is he partly the blame or is lack of good equipment the reason why he hasn’t been performing? #NASCARTalk”

Answers:
I believe the only reason he got that top ten was because of pit strategy earlier on a caution. But yes, equipment seems to be the problem imho. We tend to forget he is a 7 time champ. #nascar

A1 The JJ situation is like a race– there are a lot of moving parts and it's anybody's guess. I'm not sold on the problem being JJ, but if he doesn't win a race this year he might want to hang it up. #NASCARTalk

A1 The Chevy's have been behind for the last couple of seasons. Some have had good runs but nothing like the speed penske and the camries have shown (consistently).

I would say its equipment. Hendrick Motorsports really have had a slow start so far, and it seems the Chevy teams are getting better but still a tiny bit off.

A1 I would say tough call. could be equipment or it could be changes in package last couple of years might mean he has to change driving style. Probably somewhere in the middle.

I believe there are a multiple factors, including Jimmie himself… but it also could have equipment and Crew Chief and what not.

The man races for Hendrick… the lack of equipment line is quickly losing its luster.

A1. I answered 'equipment', but there are multiple factors at play. Hendrick is off. No 2 ways about it, hence my vote. But there is personel changes, rule changes that I think also are contributing factors. #NASCARTalk

I say give him a few more races and see if he’s back. If he’s not in victory lane or close to it by Dover then the Jimmie fans need to worry.

He's getting older, and he's not the same as he was 10 years ago

Hendrick has speed, they just need to fix traffic issues and deliver.
