Now that Joey Logano won the championship is he a lock for the Hall of Fame? Is it time for NASCAR to change the location of the championship race? Is it time for Fox Sports to make changes to the booth? During this week’s Twitter chat we answer these questions and more.

Question 1: Q1: “With Joey winning the NASCAR Championship does that make him a lock for the Hall of Fame?” Is it too soon to talk HOF with only one championship. Why or why not? #NASCARTalk

Answers:
One championship doesn’t automatically make a HOF’er. Take Mark Martin for example, who is a HOF driver with no championship.

I personally think if you win a Championship at the cup level that should lock you into the HOF.
— ryan goodrum (@ryan_goodrum) November 20, 2018
He’s on the right path for sure but too soon to ask that question.
— Chairgatin' (@chairgatin) November 20, 2018
I think he goes in the HOF. They put 5 in a year so everyone is getting in.

Another win at the Daytona 500, a win in the Southern 500, Coke 600 would go a long way.

Question 2: Should NASCAR consider rotating tracks every year for the Championship? If so, “what track should host the Championship race at the end of the year?” ~ @ryan_goodrum #NASCARTalk

A2: I don't think rotating it would be good IMO. While being the best 1.5 mile track on the circuit, the changing conditions and multiple grooves have made some great moments happen.
— Kenneth W Lee Jr. (@FrontRowKenny) November 20, 2018
Rotate between short tracks, and mile and a half tracks. The champion should be able to drive anywhere.
— Sandra J Barnes (@sandrajbarnes) November 20, 2018
A2: would love to see the championship race held at Martinsville, the oldest track in nascar
— BarryScharf #NFB (@BScharfschwerdt) November 20, 2018
It should be a surprise every year! although I know that would'nt work. but make that the first race there each year!
— Conflykt (@conflykt) November 20, 2018
Homestead does provide good racing but move the finale around (Atlanta, ISM, Vegas) consider temperatures too

Question 3: Aside from Jimmie Johnson’s win in 2013 and 2016, the NASCAR Cup Series has seen a new champion each year since 2011. Will Joey Logan be the driver to break the streak and get back to back wins? Why? Why not? #NASCARTalk

With the stage racing, restrictor plates, new car models and who knows what else coming next year there will be some growing pains.
— Sandra J Barnes (@sandrajbarnes) November 20, 2018
A3: the way the points work there'll be 40 cars with a chance to win it at homestead next year…
— Charlie Bowles (@CharlieBowles6) November 20, 2018
I don't think he will. I would be fine with him doing it though! Just like shi**y struggled with the Camaro this year, I foresee the same struggles for Ford and the Mustang
— loose lugnut (@Loose_lug_nut) November 20, 2018
Not with this silly ass format!!
— Teresa (@tatwh59) November 20, 2018
A3. Going back to back is so difficult, especially with this format. Yes, 78 almost did it. But it isn't easy. Also, the Mustang is a big question mark, and the new rules package next season. #NASCARTalk

Question 4: We are 90 days from the start of the 2019 NASCAR season and the return of NASCAR on Fox coverage. If you had a choice, who would you replace in the broadcast booth and with who? #NASCARTalk

Answers:
I would replace Darrell Waltrip (aka Jaws) with someone who sells beer at the concession stand.
— Angela Dawn (@AngelaDawn623) November 20, 2018
Waltrips OUT!!! NOW, if not sooner. Bring back @DocPunchESPN & Wally Dallenbach
— bruce groft (@groft7) November 20, 2018
Replace Mike Joy, with Larry Mac
— The Robster1 Gaming (@TheRobster2014) November 20, 2018
Ya I know, NBC could use a bit of an overhaul past Jr honestly letarte and burton are alright but I feel like allen bestwick would boost their coverage by a country mile. I didn't include bestwick with fox cause having he and mike joy together would be over-greatness
— Brock Rowe (@BrockRowePFR) November 20, 2018
Mike Joy, Allen Bestwick, and i'll get shot down for this but Rusty Wallace.
Gotta keep Larry Mac in the tech center though, do not get rid of himi.— David Hess (@GenericRaceFan) November 20, 2018
Question 5: “Which of the drivers currently without a ride do you expect to see in NASCAR next year?” ~ @sandrajbarnes #NASCARTalk

Daniel Suarez for sure. It would be a crime if Allmendinger doesn’t have a ride.
— Cameron Richardson (@therichreport) November 20, 2018
Dinger will be somewhere
— loose lugnut (@Loose_lug_nut) November 20, 2018
Kurt Busch
— ryan goodrum (@ryan_goodrum) November 20, 2018
