There’s nothing wrong with trading a little paint. Kyle Larson tapped Kyle Busch and got tapped back. It really was that simple — at least it seemed that way. Of course, Kyle Busch haters were mad, but other fans took it as all is fair in NASCAR when racing for the win. We talked to NASCAR fans to get their opinion on the battle between the Kyle’s and that other battle between teammates at Stewart-Haas Racing.

Question 1: Was the #Overtons400 race at @ChicagolndSpdwy the best race of the season? Why or why not? What was good about it? Too much hype? Share your thoughts. #NASCARTalk

2 lead changes in the final lap. Both drivers trying hard as they can. Absolutely yes.

Had it all.
Strategy, competition, great finish! #NASCAR

It's good to see @KyleLarsonRacin and the #camaro starting to make their way to the front. Great racing.

Finishes yes,the rest of the race put me to sleep.

No doubt. Passing all day, and you didn't know who was going to win from lap 1 to the checkered flag. The #18 didn't even come good until about 70 to go! And then of course the fender banging finish, Larson being gracious in defeat and Kyle riling up the fanbase. Damn good day.

Question 2: Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson put on a show…a clinic on how to race hard. Should anyone be mad at how it played out? Was it fair for Busch to dump Larson? Thoughts? #NASCARTalk

A2: I don’t think anyone should be mad. That was hard racing and I think anyone would’ve raced that hard to get the win! I would love to see more of it! Very exciting to watch! Plus if it had been the other way around Larson would’ve done the same thing!
— Tiffany (@tiffanyshandell) July 2, 2018
No one should be upset on how it played out. Just as Kyle Larson said, he knew the payback was coming.
— Larry Lee (@lblee58) July 2, 2018
A2: No one Should be mad! it’s ok to be disappointed if your driver doesn’t win. Yes it was Fair how it played out.
— Mick Rose 🇺🇸 (@GoDucks42_mick) July 2, 2018
A2: yep, Larson opened the door for contact when he ran Busch into the wall.

LOVED it! Don't forget the first time Rowdy slipped Larson the bumper for a win this season. https://t.co/JqWKwsGMJD Can't wait to see these boys back in Bristol (@BMSupdates)

Question 3: If drivers raced, banged, and traded paint like Larson and Kyle Busch did at Chicago every week would you be okay with it? #NASCARTalk

A3: Lol, no it’ll get old and then those fans that appreciate it won’t appreciate it anymore! So no! “A moment does not the sport make!” pic.twitter.com/8FG0Y8n9xr

Yes

Not only would I be ok with it, I think the masses would be too! We need to see that grit & determination more often. I realize the track & other factors must be taken into account here. But more of that please! #NASCARTalk
— Graydon Bunn 🇨🇦 (@SmoothOper88or) July 2, 2018
A3: I would be fine with it! Love seeing drivers fight hard for the win and doing whatever they can to get it!
— Tiffany (@tiffanyshandell) July 2, 2018
Question 4: As #NASCAR fans, we are all teammates…maybe. Ha! What did you think of the Stage 2 battle with Kurt Busch and Kevin Harvick? #NASCARTalk

I liked it. They were racing hard.
— Sandra J Barnes (@sandrajbarnes) July 2, 2018
A4: I have heard from drivers they race there guys out every lap. So no one should be upset Race hard every lap.
— Mick Rose 🇺🇸 (@GoDucks42_mick) July 2, 2018
A4: Exactly as I would expect it to go for any team…………..no team orders
— Larry Lee (@lblee58) July 2, 2018
A4: Acceptable as 2 “Kyles” @KyleBusch and @KyleLarsonRacin going for a win, had it been those two battling for the win instead of a stage, I’d be sorely disappointed if it played out any different.
— Cliff (@overthewallrace) July 2, 2018
A4: it was hard racing for not only a stage win but stage points and everybody tries to go all out every lap.
